Calling themselves the “Pioneer of The Japanese Automobile Auctions”, JAA is the oldest operating Japanese auto auction group in Japan. The continue to carry a good reputation that allows them to continue to compete. On the negative side, they are know to not have all the technological advancements that the larger, newer auctions have. That being said, they a higher sell completion rate than USS group.
Not many locations, but they are a noticeable part of the non-specialty used passenger car market. If your looking for a everyday car from Japan, the typical Nissan or Toyota car, you should watch their 3 locations.

I currently have a 1956 chevy 210 4 door classic car that I am interested in selling. I am writing to you today to find out how to go about getting it listed for sale in a Japanese venue.
My car in is great shape and is all original from the factory.The paint color is teal over white 2 tone, and it has the original 6 cylinder engine in it, along with every thing else that was original in 1956. I can send pics to you in an email I guess.

Well personally, if you are selling just one car (a classic at that), you might get more money selling it profitable. For example, using Yahoo! Japan Auctions.
If you do want to put it up at an auto auction (which does have many benefits), you’d best find the auction that is best for you. As a classic foreign car, Zip Auto Auction is good at attracting customers that are interested in what you are selling thus more profit. Also another factor is location. You may want one take it to auctions near where you live because there is a 50/50 chance of the car being sold the first time.
Some auctions allow private individuals to sells, other don’t. Please contact the auctions (or look at their Japanese websites if you can read Japanese) for information on how to go about selling at their auction.
Remember to set the minimum price to what you at least expect for your car. Don’t worry if it doesn’t sell the first time. It’s better to put it up 10 times and find the right buyer than to get less than what it’s worth. Also make sure it a auction that publishes which car are being sold on the internet. You are more like to get competition at the bigger auctions that can bring in a lot of customers.
